How much does painting and decorating cost in London?

The size of the property is only part of the calculation. Surface condition, repairs, access, protection, specialist finishes and materials all affect the price. We focus on substantial projects, with a typical minimum value of around £3,000–£5,000 depending on scope. A site assessment allows the work and VAT to be set out clearly.

Do you provide materials?

Discuss materials when requesting your quotation. The agreed specification should identify who supplies the paint, primers, wallpaper and other products. If you have already chosen a finish or purchased materials, share the details so compatibility and quantities can be checked before work begins.

Do you work with interior designers?

We welcome enquiries from interior designers, architects, developers and estate agents. Share your drawings, finish schedule, samples and programme so we can discuss preparation, application and coordination with the other trades.

How long does a typical project take?

Timing depends on preparation, repairs, the number of surfaces, access and the drying or curing requirements of the chosen products. Exterior work also depends on suitable weather. Share your preferred dates; the programme should be agreed once the scope is clear.

Can you spray kitchen cabinets and woodwork?

We offer professional spray painting using Graco equipment. Send photographs and details of your cabinets or woodwork so we can assess the material, existing coating and access. Suitable preparation, masking and a compatible coating system are essential; not every surface is a good candidate for spraying.

Do you prepare walls before painting?

Yes. Preparation is central to the work: checking the surface, protecting the room, making agreed repairs and sanding with dust extraction before applying suitable primers and finishes. Damp or unstable surfaces need attention before decoration; paint alone will not resolve the underlying problem.

Do you work in occupied homes?

Tell us if you plan to remain at home during the work. We can discuss room access, furniture protection, working areas and the order of decoration. Spray application and some specialist finishes may require rooms to be cleared or temporarily kept out of use.

Do you provide a written quotation?

Ask us for a written quotation when you discuss your project. The agreed scope should cover preparation, repairs, surfaces, materials, finishes, access, timing and VAT. Any change to that scope should be discussed before the additional work starts.
